Happy World Photography Day

A quick post, done on my phone, as I’m headed out the door for a few days of rest and relaxation. Since I will be on the road all day Chances are good that I won’t get another chance to post today.

World Photo Day originates from the invention of the Daguerreotype, a photographic process developed by Frenchmen Louis Daguerre and Joseph Nicephore Niepce in 1837.

August 19 is observed as World Photography Day, and it almost coincides with my birthday which is tomorrow. It was created in the hopes that it will inspire photographers across the planet to share a single photo with a simple purpose: to share their world with the world.

Here’s mine. I hope you will share your own.

I may add to this post later, but I gotta get on the road now.

Happy World Photography Day.
