Winter Wonderland in the Backyard
You might know, we recently had a little bit of winter weather here in Georgia. Before the snow arrived it had been unseasonably warm. Snow fell throughout the night on Friday and by the time morning rolled around two to three inches had fallen at our house. Almost all of the snow is gone now, but it is still cold. I decided to avoiding the cold by working in my studio catching up on processing images.
Before I get too deep into processing I want to share this image from my iPhone. It is the scene in our backyard just after the snow had stopped falling and the sky began to clear.
I’m thinking of making it into a Christmas card. Let me know what you think.
It has been a very long time since I have experienced a real winter. I don’t recall any in California. Do winters even exist there?
That’s what got me about this picture. This is my backyard! Not some picture of somebody else’s yard back east. Now I’m back east. Winter – it does exist.
In the next few days I will be posting new images, maybe even some of snow, to my Website. Come on by and have a look. Remember photographs make great gifts and most of mine are available on items like shirts, cups, phone cases, beach towels, tote bags. I’m sure I’m leaving something out, but you get the idea. Stop by and check out what is available.
